I’m transfixed by this Lego anatomy skeleton from Choking Hazards. Every time I look at it, I find some new, clever use of bricks to create organs and details. Love it! [via adafruit]

  • Brown Recluse Spider Man

My roommate Harris got bitten by a brown recluse the other day and it was a scary time! We all freaked out because who knows where that little dude is, hopefully being happy in some crack in the wall and not secretly under our pillows. It did inspire some fun and silly comics though.

So, I wasn’t as done with my book as I thought! But now, now, now, it is all done! Would you like to see the cover?

It will be in stores in October, care of Drawn and Quarterly, and with all my thanks to the work of those wonderful people.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the NCS Reuben Awards in Boston, to participate in a seminar on online comics and to attend the awards themselves. I met many heroes of the newspaper comics page, and it was really wonderful to do so. I have been thinking about the things I have learned in the business of online comics, since that was what my talk was about, perhaps you will see a write up here later that expands on these thoughts.
